Pub Ride Tonight! Important NEW information!!

02/03

Well, tonight’s theme is “Cops N Robbers”, but I feel sorry for anyone who decided to go with one of those “Sexy Cop” outfits cause its gonna be chilly!

A few things to remember:
-Parking: If you want to park near the Moose, do it in the lot across Rebstock Road (the side street off of Alt 19 that the Lodge is on the corner of). A better solution is probably to park in the BACK LOT at Fairway Pizza and ride your bike to the Moose Lodge.
-Check In: The Moose Lodge is a private club who has been kind enough to host us for the afternoon. Part of their requirements for that is that all guests sign the guestbook. YOU MUST find out where that is and sign in when you arrive!
-Drink sales at Moose Lodge: Due to restrictions, the Moose Lodge can not sell you alcohol. What they CAN sell you is tickets. Be sure to bring some CASH, get there early, and buy some.
-If you did not see the previous post, please remember that anything you bring that might look like a gun or other weapon needs to be OBVIOUS that it is only a toy or prop. That means brightly colored or otherwise fake looking. Also, nothing that shoots or propels any objects please.

Actually our "February" ride, but...

2013 T-Shirt Sponsors and Gift Certificates.

02/12

We have quite a few of you who have contacted me in regards to sponsoring shirts for the upcoming year.  Thank you!

Please consider becoming a T-shirt sponsor. This will get your logo on our shirts that we will give out on the upcoming 12 rides for 2013. It will also get you mentioned in our Facebook posts and of course on the webpage.  These shirts are a big hit with the riders and are always prizes and giveaways for you guys!

You can also donate business gift certificates or items from your business. We will hold these items and give them out as monthly prizes. Remember the rides are solely funded by myself or Craig.  Any products we give to you has been purchased by us or one of our wonderful business friends.

If you or someone you know has a business that would like to help us, please email me michele@Pinellaspubride.info and we will work it out.

Thanks,

Bella Michele

” A Sea of Santas!” A Recap from the Tattooed Lady.

02/12

Hello Everyone!

I was so excited with our turnout last night. We counted 118 bikes leaving stop ONE, and I know we continued to pick up riders after that as well.  I was also impressed by how well you guys rode as a group last night.  Thanks for listening, and riding as a unit. We did have a few minor bike problems, but they were fixed and met up with the group.  Huge thanks to Anthony for being our ride anchor in the back, to Craig for leading the pack, and to Jim and Kevin for helping me corral the mass, and with road crossings.

Of course a big thanks to our establishments. Stop 1 Ozona Pig was welcoming as usual.  Stop 2 had a nice bit of mileage to get there, but obviously we had some trouble with service at Rum Runners.(Don’t worry riders, Craig and I always take these things into consideration when we plan future rides). Stop 3 and 4 Boyle’s Backyard, and Fireside Pizza.  Those were fun stops. I thought fireside did an excellent job, especially for their size and first time hosting us. We will return there. We were also asked by Grumpy’s Tavern to contact them in regards to add hosting in the future.  Stop 5, J.C. Cravers was a lot of fun, and looked like you riders enjoyed yourselves there. Doyle’s Revenge sounded great, I just wish I had caught Doyle in his Santa getup…

I loved the fact that we all got past the Sherriff on our way to final stop. The reason he did is because you guys all behaved yourself, and didn’t act like fools in front of him. He could see we were an ORGANIZED and SAFE ride.. The officer actually looked quite amused and intrigued by us, and I love that. Please remember the one thing he mentioned.. Even riding bikes with beers is not legal.  Be careful if you choose to travel with those beverages.

Overall, this was a huge success. Thanks to all of you who continue to come each month. Thanks to you who share the info with your friends, and invite them along.  We enjoy throwing you a party every month.  If you have photos from events please email them to pictures@pinellaspubride.info and they will go on the webpage.

Next ride will be our December ride, and it will be December 29,2012. We are tossing around two themes in our heads, and will post it for you soon.

Ride day updates. READ THIS!!

01/12

Okay gang, its ride day! There is still time to get by a party store and get your Santa suit if  you have not already. I got mine yesterday at iParty for only $15. Let’s get to at least 100 of us dressed as the big man.

If you have not already, please read the Current Ride page for info on where to park and other pointers.

A few VERY important things:
1) It gets dark early this time of year, BE SURE you have head and tail lights on your bicycle. They are only about $10 at WalMart. This is not only for your safety, its the LAW!
2) Since most or all of our riding will be after sundown and we are expecting a large group, its important that you ride together as a tight pack. If you see space between you and the person ahead of you, catch up! I lead the ride at a very slow pace, in my lowest gear, smoking a cigarette, and usually pulling a trailer. We aren’t riding fast, you should have no problem staying together. Again, this is to keep ALL of us safe.
3) I will make announcements as we get on our bikes before leaving each stop. Please, quiet down for one minute and pay attention. Michele will be riding the mid pack, and assisting with intersections. When we approach a crossing, catch up to the people ahead of you so you dont miss the light. If we do get cut off, OBEY Michele’s instructions, she will be leading the second pack until you catch up.

We are out to make friends and have fun, but we want it to be a GROUP activity, and we dont want to see anyone get hurt. Please work with us to make this, our EIGHTEENTH ride, another amazing night.

Can’t wait to see our Santa brigade tonight. Be sure you come say Hi, we have tons of shirts and other swag to pass out.

See you all later,
Craig
